Hello, I’m Cecily Escobar!

Education:

I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling with honors (4.0 GPA) from the University of Miami. The University of Miami provided me with a diverse community, incredibly qualified and honorable professors, and awesome football games! I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida (don’t mean to upset any hurricane fans), and graduated cum laude.

Clinical Experience:

I have widespread experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I primarily specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and recent life changes. I enjoy working closely and collaboratively with my clients to develop specific skills to help make life easier and more enjoyable. My key goal is to serve as a support for those who feel alone in life’s difficulties.

I have had extensive experience working with children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and other related disorders through programs such as FIU’s Summer Treatment Program (STP-PreK). I implement behavior treatments with a focus on decreasing problem behaviors, increasing desired behaviors, improving self- confidence and esteem, and improving self-regulation. Through this, I work directly with the parents of children who have been diagnosed with behavior disorders and provide the support needed.

Qualifications:

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

“I hope to provide you a person and space where there is no judgement, no harm, and no one other than you. We rarely get time to focus on ourselves and care for our minds. Trust me, I get it! That’s why I want to be here with you and give this moment to you.”
